Yvonne Schrader

July 3, 1919 — October 24, 2016

Yvonne Schrader, 97, of Great Falls, passed away October 24, 2016.Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 27th and a funeral service at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, October 28th, both at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel.Yvonne was born July 3, 1919 in North Dakota of Swedish decent and raised on a farm where they harvested sunflower, safflower, wheat and barley. She was a high school basketball star and once won a fur coat from a 1950's radio promotion and then sold it as she had nowhere to wear it. Her father was James Hill Hobbs named after railroad tycoon, James Hill-a relative. Her mother was Beda Marie Linderoth. She worked as an Assistant administer for the Cascade County Hospital for many years, eventually retiring and coincidentally marrying the Administer to same establishment, Carl Schrader until he passed in 1985.Yvonne was a volunteer at the Russell house and CM Russell Museum and volunteered for many benefits/charities after retirement until she could no longer drive in her late 80's.She was spontaneous for adventure. She helped and loved as she was taught, and she shared those values with her kids and grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and we are all maybe a little better for her prodding and loving along the way. Yvonne loved to spend time in the garden and with her flowers. She is survived by her son, Roger (Connie) Larson; daughters Bonnie Mather and Karen Larsson; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.In Swedish just for you sweet Grandmother ... Jag lskar dig med ...I love you.
