Lori Denise Shaver, 55, of Great Falls, passed away at Benefis Hospital on August 5, 2016 of a sudden heart attack.At Loris request, there will be no funeral services held, and instead the family will have a Celebration of Life at the Black Eagle Country Club at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday August 14. Cremation has taken place at Schnider Funeral Home.Lori was born in Salinas, California on April 4, 1961 to Richard and Marge Magda. She grew up on her fathers ranch in Lloyd, Montana and received her education in Havre, Montana. On July 29, 1997, she married the love of her life, Jeff Shaver. They lived together in Great Falls with their children and grandchildren until her passing.Lori was well known for her amazing cooking skills and crafty handiwork. She was always working on new projects like homemade picture frames, collages, or curtains. She even passed away with paint on her fingers from her latest handmade project. She enjoyed camping, potlucks, and good music like Steve Earle or Bob Dylan and loved spending time with friends and family more than anything else.Survivors include her husband, Jeff Shaver of Great Falls; daughters, Kendra (Kody) Marquart, Rischell Day, and Nicole Quintanilla of Great Falls; brothers, David (Lynette) Christopherson and Jerry Magda; as well as 8 grandchildren: Antonio, Manuel, Carlos, Braydin, Zakary, Elijah, Sophia, and Adelyn. Lori. She also had many friends that she loved deeply and considered part of the family.Lori was preceded in death by a son, Jared Day; her parents, Richard and Marge Magda; a sister Susie Shaver; and a brother Ricky.She had a generous and loving soul and will be greatly missed by family and friends
