James Joe Stanley left this world on August 8, 2016.He was always known as Joe. A nickname he was given as a child. Joe was born on November 7, 1934 to Richard E. and Jennie (Glidweil) Stanley in Milan, MO. He moved with his family to the Lewistown area in 1936, where he attended grade school and high school.He joined the army and was in Korea. When he was discharged, he met his wife of 60 years Ida May Schrock. To that union two daughters were added. Joe drove truck for the Great Falls Meat Co. and worked in the plant. He drove truck for Buttery Foods for twenty years.His family was his life. He loved spending time with them. He loved traveling with his four grandchildren when they were small and family camping trips.He is survived by his wife; daughter Nancy (Dan) Sayre; grandchildren Amy (Noah) Scott, Nathan Sayre, Jon (Tiffany) Keeth, and Jay (Stephanie) Keeth; six great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Kyle, Max, Macie, Joseph and Ruth; brother Jack Stanley; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Trudy Keeth; brothers Edward and Jerry; stepbrother George Vodicka; and sister Gwineth.Per his request, no funeral services are being held. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home.
