Bonita “BoBo” Mae Moes, 53, was called home much too early. She fought hard to stay with her loved ones but lost the battle to Covid pneumonia October 5, 2021. Bonita was born November 3, 1967, in Great Falls. She brought an abundance of joy to her parents that carried through her entire life. She attended schools here in Great Falls and Moses Lake, Washington. Once she graduated from high school, she went on to Kinman Business College in Spokane, Washington. After graduation from Kinman she moved back to Montana. Bonita’s marriage to Barry Smith ended in divorce, but not before they had two beautiful daughters. Bonita had worked different jobs from being a cook, a ticket agent for Amtrak, a travel agent, and then her “dream job” when she went to work in radio, as a traffic manager. It was a job she truly loved, but due to the Covid pandemic she was laid off from her job in Helena and moved back to Great Falls. This move allowed for her to see the loves of her life, her daughters and granddaughters, anytime. At the time of her passing, she was employed at Express Employment. She had a sense of humor, beautiful eyes, a smile to match, an unending love for her family, especially her granddaughters. She leaves behind her daughters, Ashlyn and Caitlyn Smith; granddaughters, Reagan Mae and Oaklyn Louise; parents, Paul and Carol Moes; nephews, Derek, Brandon and Kinden Moes; and her niece, Christina Moes; and aunt, Linda Rogers. She was preceded in death by her brother, Christopher Wayne Moes, who passed away August 18, 2021; her grandparents, Fern and Lawrence Erickson, Carol (Moes) Bundtrock, and Raymond Moes; and her aunt, Shirley Feist. Until we meet again, know that we all loved you deeply and miss you terribly. Bonita’s memorial service will be held on October 16, 2021, at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Hillcrest requires all guests to wear masks. There will be a reception at Our Lady of Lourdes School gym immediately following the service.
