She is the oldest of seven of Marjorie and stepfather, Clyde Parsons; sisters, Janice (California), Shirley, and Anita; brothers, Johnny, Clifford and Douglas all of Glace Bay. She grew up and attended schools in Glace Bay until she turned 16 at which time her Aunt Anita (McLean) and American husband, George Wirth brought her to California with them. She attended Bell High School and then Rosemead graduated in midterm, January of 1960. Heather then went to work for Diodes Inc. soon meeting her future husband, Charles (Chuck) Andrews. They were married on January 20, 1962. They have two children, Parrish D. (Linda) and Wanda H. (first husband, Brian and Second husband, Art). They have five grandchildren, Anthony (Melissa), Ashley, Matthew, Gabrielle and Keden; three great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kathryn, Rebecca and on great-grandson, Jacob. Heather followed her husband, (sheet metal worker) Chuck, moving all over the USA and Canada from southern and northern California, Washington State, Nevada, Nova Scotia, Alberta, and British Columbia. She was mostly a stay-at-home mom but also worked at a day care center, Montgomery Wards, Hudson Bay, Safeway and in the forest in British Columbia. Heather enjoyed reading, crafts, homemaking, ship cruising, traveling, and family and friends get-togethers. They retired in Great Falls because their two children and family now live here.
