William Bill Fisher, 68, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2013.A funeral service will be held at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel on Friday, September 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Bill was born on the first day of summer in 1945 and sadly, left this world on the last of summer, September 22, 2013. He was born to Robert and Shirley Fisher in Seattle, Washington. Bill was the oldest of six childrenBobbie (Meril) Curtis, Meg (Joe) Parsetich, Mark (Janet) Fisher, Nan VanDyk, and Paul Fisher. Bill attended college at Northern in Havre, where he met his future wife, Karen. They had two children, Andrew and Nicolle. He followed in the path of his father and became an air traffic controller. He worked in Farmington, Minnesota, Billings, Great Falls and then Missoula. He retired after 32 years, but he couldnt stop working. He finished his career at Big R, where he loved working with the peopleboth employees and customers. There wasnt a project that he couldnt tackle. He had a work ethic like no other and took great pride in whatever task he addressed, whether it was simple or complex. Bill loved the Lord and enjoyed studying scriptures.Bill is survived by his wife, Karen; daughter Nicolle; mother Shirley; son-in-law Kelly; sisters Bobbie and Meg; brothers Mark and Paul; sisters-in-law Sally (Joe) Nichols, Marcia, Fran Larson; grandchildren Nicholas, Tyler, Natalie, Andrea, and Brittney; as well as numerous beloved relatives and friends.Bill was preceded in death by his son, Andrew Fisher; father Robert Fisher; nephew Daniel Larson; and father and mother-in-law, Dick and Clara Larson.
