William "Billy C" Chafin

William Carlos Billy C Chafin, 76, of Great Falls, passed away January 8, 2014 from congestive heart failure at Peace Hospice.A potluck celebration of Billy Cs life will be at VFW, 4125 10th Ave S., on January 16th from 2-4 p.m. Cremation was handled by Schnider Funeral Home.Billy was born November 14, 1937 in West Virginia, one of four sons to James and Myrtle Chafin. Billy served twenty-two years in the Air Force. After retirement, he was the head groundskeeper for the Pioneer League.Billy enjoyed fishing, hunting and baseball. He belonged to the Masons, Scottish Rite and Shriners.Billy is survived by his wife, Sharon; son Bill (Brenda) Chafin of Great Falls; daughter Carla (Kevin) Perusse of Re"public", MO; step-son Tyler Taillon of Great Falls; step-daughters Stacy (Joe) Bollich of Great Falls and Michelle Taillon of Minneapolis, MN; seven grandchildren, Mike, Tonya, Shelly, Brittany, Dakota, Justin and Kayleigh; and five great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers; and one great-grandchild.
