Vivian Mccormick

Vivian Pauline McCormick, 61, of Great Falls, passed away at her home on Saturday, July 27, 2013.She had been courageously battling cancer for over 2 years.Vivian was born in Havre, Montana on June 30, 1952 to Velma M. (Williams) and James R. McCormick.She graduated from Great Falls High School and went on to attend the University of Montana and Montana State University.She received her nursing degree from Montana State University.She also obtained her Masters in Nursing from Montana State University.She worked as a nurse, taught nursing classes in Great Falls for Northern Montana College and also taught nursing classes for the Air National Guard.She joined the U.S. Air Force and served in Kuwait during the first Gulf War. She was preceded in death by her mother, Velma Edmonds; and her brother, Jim McCormick, Jr.Vivian is survived by her father, Jim McCormick, Sr. of Sun City, AZ; brother, Pat (Karen) McCormick of Berthoud, CO and their children, Adam and Sarah; niece Brigit McCormick of Great Falls; great niece Kaycee Guckeen, of Great Falls; and her kitty, Pip.Cremation has taken place and her ashes will be scattered at a later date.
