Virginia Gini Delores (Durmaj) Prenzno, 86, of Great Falls, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2014 following a brief illness.Per her request no services are planned. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Virginia met, fell in love, and married Richard Durmaj. Together they raised a family and in 1966 moved to Los Alamos, New Mexico where she managed a gift shop and worked as a secretary at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. In the late 1970s they made the move to Phoenix, Arizona to be closer to family. Following Richards death in 1983 she lived alone in Scottsdale until 1993 when she met and married James Prenzno. After his passing in 2001 she continued to live in Scottsdale until 2008 when she moved to Great Falls.Gini enjoyed shopping, reading, watching QVC, and talking on the phone. Her weekly highlights were spending time with her caregivers, Sheila Carroll and Martina Weber.She is survived by her son, Rick (Julia) Durmaj of Palisades, CO; granddaughter Kathleen (Thomas) Blomker of Great Falls; an additional six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; stepbrothers Ronald and Roger Crowson; stepsisters Barbara Ainsworth and Carole Cotton; stepson John Prenzno; and stepdaughter Dian (Bill) Wheeler.Gini was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather; first husband, Richard; infant son; daughter Judith; second husband, James; and several close friends.
