Viola "Vi" Olson

Viola Vi Christina Olson, 83, of Great Falls, passed away March 27, 2016 surrounded by her family.The memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Vi was born on June 29, 1932 to Walter and Dorothy (Hansen) Slaamod in Carpio, North Dakota. She married Nels E. Olson on July 31, 1955, they moved to Montana shortly after in that same year.She enjoyed sewing, camping, traveling, and crocheting. She volunteered with the Boy Scouts and the Girl Scouts.Vi is survived by her husband, Nels of Great Falls; sons Michael (Joan) Olson of Bozeman and Wayne (Kemela) Olson of Great Falls; daughter Virginia Soria of Great Falls; brother Wallace (LaVern) Slaamod of Park River, ND; sister Donna Randolph of Harrison, AR; and grandchildren Ryan Soria of Great Falls and Aaron Soria of Missoula.She was preceded in death by her parents.
