Vida Leona Lea (Edwards) Marquart, 88, of Great Falls passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017.Visitation will be Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. both at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Vida Lea was born November 21, 1928 in Hammon, OK to Arthur Brenton and Elva Florence Kelly Edwards. She married the love of her life, Valentine Val Marquart on June 5, 1953 in Great Falls. She spent her life loving and caring for her husband and their five children. She worked in various fields of the service industry from waitressing, volunteering and care giving.She attended Sunnyside Church of God filling several positions until her illness prevented her from attending. Her family was her life and her interests mostly revolved around them. She loved camping, gardening, crafting and cooking. Everything she did was done with passion. With camping, she always made it feel like home away from home. Her vegetable, flower and rock gardens were traffic stopping with the beauty that was projected from her creations. She was an amazing cook and found such pleasure in hosting events and family affairs. She was the spiritual foundation that supported the entire family.Vida is survived by her children, Leon Featherstone of Placerville, CA, David Marquart of Great Falls, Donald (Suzanne) Marquart of Great Falls, Carol Marquart Justice of Bozeman, Robert Marquart of Belgrade, and Michael (Tonya) Marquart of Great Falls; grandchildren Kari Benton, Brion Hand, Paris Featherstone, Britani Featherstone, Terry Marquart, Stephanie Marquart, Bobbie (Marquart) Swingley, Bryan Marquart, Jason Justice, JoVonne Justice, JoLea (Justice) Snajdr, Crystal Cunniff, Kody Marquart, Kelsey Marquart, Kooper Marquart, Keefer Marquart; 21 great-grandchildren; and sister Lillie Simpson of Afton, OK.She was preceded in death by her husband, Val Marquart; parents; brothers Clifford, Arvil, Herman, Lonnie, Benjamin and Leo Edwards; and sisters Zelma Dewey and Edna Copeland.Heaven gained an amazing beautiful angel when she left her frail earthly body and she will be greatly missed.Donations may be made to Peace Hospice, 1101 26th St S, Great Falls, MT 59405.
