Thomas Wheeler

Thomas G. Wheeler, 79, of Augusta, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2014, from complications of Alzheimers disease, at a local care facility.No local services are planned. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home.Tom was born on December 15, 1934 in Seattle, Washington, the son of Gordon and Marjorie Wheeler. He graduated from Bothell High School in 1954 and started his career with Boeing Company. Many of those years were spent on working on the Minuteman Missile program. He retired from Boeing on his 55th birthday, with 35 years of service.Tom and Patty moved to Augusta in 1992, to take advantage of the great fishing and hunting.He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Patty Wheeler of Augusta; daughter Leanne (Jeff) Dehn if Kaje Oswego, OR; granddaughters Brandy (Brian) Hurley of Marysville, WA and Kelsee Dehn of Los Angeles, CA; great-grandchildren Chase, Ryder, Ashtyn, and Tate Hurley; brother Jim (Colleen) Wheeler; and sister, Julie (Jack) Bruggenkamp of Snohomish, WA.Tom was preceded in death by his parents and his son, David.
