Sue Anne (Varner) Sorenson, 54, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior. She passed away peacefully on February 26, 2017 surrounded by her family.A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 4, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at First English Lutheran Church. Burial of ashes will take place at a later date. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Sue was born in Great Falls on January 31, 1963 and spent almost her entire life in this community. She was the only daughter of Blenda Varner and the late John Earl Varner.Sue was a 1981 graduate of Great Falls High School and worked at Taco Johns for over 20 years in many different roles. She particularly enjoyed her customers and all the laughs they shared.The joy of her life was her son, Corey. Sue loved being a mother and was active in his school, church and sport activities. Sue was a very loving and giving person who cared deeply for her extended family, and enjoyed all of the family gatherings. Sue especially enjoyed shopping with her mother. She also was a longtime lover of animals, especially her many spoiled cats.Sue was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Monte; son Corey Sorenson; daughter Alicia Sorenson of Lynnwood, WA; stepson Brandon Sorenson of Washington; brothers Scott Varner of Great Falls and Steve Varner (Shelley) of Washington; mother Blenda Varner of Great Falls; three grandchildren, Destinee, Endrick and Savanna; aunt Myrna Myskewitz, aunt Carol and uncle Keith Roberts of Great Falls, and aunt Pam and uncle Rick Bradford of Marysville, WA; nephew Jason Sorenson (Candy) of Helena; niece Brook Marko (Dan) of Great Falls; mother-in-law Janice Renville of Great Falls; sister-in-law Maria Renville of Great Falls; as well as numerous cousins and friends.The family would like to thank everyone for all their love, prayers and support as Sue courageously battled cancer. A special thank you to Pastor Barb of First English Lutheran Church for all the home and hospital visits filled with song and prayer that uplifted Sue, as well as her family.In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to Helping Hands of First English Lutheran Church, First English Lutheran Church or to the Great Falls Animal Shelter.
