Steven “Steve” Douglas Johnson, 47, passed away at Peace Hospice on July 13, 2019, after a 6 year battle with brain cancer with his wife by his side. Cremation has taken place under the care of Schnider Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Steve was born December 20, 1971, in Kalispell, MT to Iris and Marty Johnson.Steve enlisted in the Navy in 1991, and served abroad the USS Samuel Gompers until 1993. He then worked various food service jobs including Sam's Club in the cafe and Burger King where he met his wife Tiffany. Steve and Tiffany were married September 1, 2007, and enjoyed 12 wonderful years of marriage until his unexpected passing. One of Steve's favorite things was SCCA racing which he got the whole family into. It was the only way to keep him from getting speeding tickets. He also enjoyed fishing and playing with Zoe and Ziggy, the family dogs. Steve is survived by his wife, Tiffany of Great Falls; mother, Iris Johnson of Great Falls; brother, Chris Johnson of Hamilton, MT; brothers, Scott and Kevin Johnson of Great Falls, MT; daughter, Jessicca Johnson of Castle Hill, ME; son, Zachary Johnson of Castle Hill, ME; lifelong friend, Troy Atchison of Cut Bank, MT; and numerous other family and friends. Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents, Horst and Elfriede Prison, and his father Marty Johnson. We would also like to thank Peace Hospice of Montana and the wonderful staff there for taking such great care of Steve in his final weeks.
