Steven Jon Sharone, 67, died peacefully August 8, 2015, in Lewistown, Montana at the Montana Mental Health nursing Care Center after a life-long struggle with mental health issues.A funeral liturgy will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Steve was born in Cut Bank, Montana on June 10, 1948 to Ruth and Johnnie Sharone. Because of his fathers Navy career the family lived many places including San Diego and several other cities in California, Bremerton, Washington, Butte and Great Falls, Montana. As an adult, Steve continued the vagabond lifestyle and loved sharing his stories of his traveling adventures to Nevada, Arizona, Washington, Kansas, New York, California, and his favorite place, Hawaii.He was proud of his Blackfeet and Chippewa-Cree heritage. He was an avid weather tracker, comparing and announcing the daily temperatures of Montana and the country.Steve was preceded in death by his parents in 2011 and his niece, Kyla R. Leigland in 1983.He will be missed by his sisters, brothers, and their families.
