Steve Jackson

d. May 22, 2022

Steven Floyd Jackson, 64, passed away on May 22, 2022, in Great Falls. He was born in Maywood, California on September 22, 1957, to Elburn Floyd Jackson and Betty Willene Pocha Jackson. He joined the Marine Corps right after high school. He loved to paint, do carpentry, and do handyman jobs. He could fix anything, and rebuilding cars was a special passion. He loved riding his Harley motorcycles and anything else with wheels. He met his wife, Linda Sue Long, while roller skating and they had three children. Steven’s friends and family were really important, and he made time to be there for them. He was a smooth talker and a joker who could talk you out of anything with a straight face. He had a passion for writing poetry. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Margaret Elizabeth Jackson; and his grandmother, Ona Huron. He is survived by his three children, Melissa Sue Jackson, Steven Charles Jackson, and Austin (Destiny) Garrett Jackson; seven grandchildren, Taylor (Jonathan) Lynn Jackson Burley, Tony Allen Jackson, Tyler Dwayne Jackson, Shiyonna Jackson, Emelkei Jackson, Elijah Jackson, and Sophia Jackson; three great-grandchildren, Stephanie Dawn Burley, Jonathan Tyler Burley Jr and Steven Colton Burley; and siblings, Brenda (Richard) Lee Latham, Gary (Cindy) Dale Jackson, and Sandra Kay Sinclair. There will be a celebration of life at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at 12:30 p.m. The Marine Corps League will perform military honors. The family suggests donations in Steven’s name be made to Toys for Tots.
