Steve Richard Enott, 82, of Great Falls, passed away on July 6, 2021, after a long, tough, courageous battle with cancer. Steve was born October 29, 1938 to Steve and Bernice Enott. He was the oldest of 6 children. The Enott’s lived in Fair-Addition in the house they all built together. Picking on his only sister Patty Ann trying to teach her how to stick up for herself. As an amateur boxer he won many fights and became a Golden Gloves boxer. Traveling all over Montana competing against the top competitors of that town. Having plenty of stories to tell with one of his favorites was in Butte after winning his match he went to eat dinner at the M&M Bar and Cafe on N Main. Telling that “He dropped a quarter at the top of the hill watching it roll down the hill all the way to the Flats!”. He had good memories competing with Marvin Camel a Golden gloves boxer who was one of the best boxers, that bout ending in a split decision, and another bout was with Dick Sargent. He competed in 130 in the ring matches, winning 82. He cherished the moments and time he was able to spend with Emette Murphy, his trainer. After finishing high school, he joined the Marine Corp where he joined their boxing club, participating in 57 matches and wining 55. As soon as arriving back home he worked at the family bar “Lido Bar” whenever his brothers needed him, he was always there to Spell off the previous bartender. Becoming close to Bruce and Tom. During his shift he would play pool and was a excellent player. Steve also loved racehorses. Every summer weekend he would be at the racetrack with his favorite Aunt Jean Fyall, Aunt Peg, Uncle Mack, Maxine, and many other race fans. A member of The Cowboys Association and bartending at the Cowboys Bar and Museum for a number of years enjoying every bit of his time with the Cowboy Association.
