Sherry Marko

Sherry (Showen) Marko, 74, of Stockett, a retired Postmaster at Stockett Post Office, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at a local hospital of natural causes.A funeral liturgy will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Centerville on Friday, June 15, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Sherry was born on August 24, 1937 in Great Falls to Lyle and Vera Showen. She was raised in Great Falls and graduated from Great Falls High School.To further her education, she attended two years of Commercial College. In 1956 she married the love of her life, David Marko, in Great Falls.Sherry was a mainstay in Stockett, working at the post office for 36 years.She enjoyed crocheting, baking, and loved to cook in general. She was an active member of the Home Demonstration Club for many years. Sherry is survived by her husband, David Lee Marko of Stockett; sons Bruce (Vickie) Marko of Stockett, Dale (Nancy) Marko of Ulm, and Scott (Michele) Marko of Great Falls; brothers Bill (Junie) Showen of Great Falls and Bruce (Sheri) Showen of Helena; seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Vera Showen.
