Sharon Jane Bickel

Sharon Jane Bickel, 70, of Great Falls, passed away peacefully, Sunday, February 25, 2018. She was born to John and Mary Minder on March 8, 1947 in Phillipsburg, New Jersey along with her twin sister, Marlyn and joined older sister, Marian. She graduated school from Palisades High School in Kintnersville, Pennsylvania. She married Donald Bickel on June 29, 1968. Their daughter, Heather was born in 1973 and son Trevor in 1977. In 1981, the family moved to Lincoln, Montana. Sharon and Don later divorced. She retired after working for many years at Hi-Country Trading Post in Lincoln. Most recently she had been a volunteer at Benefis Healthcare. Sharon loved her family; her kids and grandkids were the highlight of her life. When her daughter, Heather passed away in 2014, her heart was broken. Sharon’s health soon began to decline. She moved to Great Falls to be closer to her son and grandchildren. She loved baking and making treats for her family. She was notorious for her bargain shopping finds. She was always happy, and always had a smile on her face. She is survived by her son, Trevor Bickel and his fiancée, Alison Gifford of Great Falls; grandchildren Cort and RyAnn Bickel, and their mother, Misty Bickel; sisters Marian Trauch of NJ and Marlyn (Gary) Williams of PA; and several nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her daughter, Heather Terman and her parents, John and Mary Minder. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date in Lincoln, Montana.
