Russell Ferguson

Russell James Ferguson, 56, of Sand Coulee, a Marine Corps veteran and maintenance worker died on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at his home ofnatural causes.A memorial service will be held at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel at 11:00 am. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Russ was born in Denver, Colorado on March 19, 1956 to Jim and Janet Ferguson. Russ served four years in the Marine Corps before moving to Montana in 1978. He married Paula Bomkamp in Billings on January 19, 1985. They later divorced.He was the maintenance worker for the Cascade County Courthouse in Great Falls and he was a tenured member of the laborers union.Russ is survived by his parents, Jim and Janet Ferguson of Grinnell, IO; three siblings, Jan Leaf of Marquette, MI, David Ferguson of Woodland Park, CO, and Susan Ferguson of Grinnell, IO. He also leaves behind his lifelong best friend and hunting buddy John Scobee of Sand Coulee and many nieces and nephews.There has been a memorial fund set up in Russell's name at the Mountain West Bank.
