Ruby (Marshall) Zieske, 86, of Great Falls passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 at Peace Hospice from respiratory failure.Cremation has taken place and no services are planned. A family gathering in her honor will be held at a later date. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Ruby was born March, 15, 1929 in Sidney, Montana to Clarence and Mabel (Frettim) Marshall. She was educated in Sidney and met her future husband, Norman Zieske, in junior high school.She lived and worked in Sidney while raising three children. She worked in retail sales at Turner Drug store, Sidney clothing, Soboliks, and later as manager of The Homestead Clothing Store, where ladies fashion was a very pleasing and enjoyable part of her life. Ruby and Norman moved to Great Falls in 1987 to be closer to family. Ruby continued to work for a long time at the gift shop at the Deaconess Hospital. She especially enjoyed cooking spaghetti, brownies, and banana cake for her grandchildren. Ruby was loved by her family and many friends and will be dearly missed.Ruby is survived by her children; Susan (Randall) Stevenson and Patricia Liebig of Great Falls and Tom (Lori) Zieske of Kalispell; brothers, Darrell (Florine) Marshall of Alaska and Donald (Betty) Marshall of Billings, MT; sister Sharon (Gary) Greenwood of Moore, MT; grandchildren Rhonda (Randy) Remsen of Great Falls, Ryan (Kim) Stevenson of Irvine, CA, Ty Liebig of Phoenix, AZ and Zachary Zieske (fiance Caitlin Malone) of Kalispell, MT; great-grandchildren Ross (Kristina), Craig (Kara), and Callee Remsen; sisters-in-law Marian Zieske of Fargo, ND and Marjorie (William) Paulik of Park Ridge, IL; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Norman in 1996; sisters Eileen Gardner and Dorothy Dooley; and brother Clarence Marshall Jr.The family would like to thank the staff at Peace Hospice and Benefis Hospital for their excellent and compassionate care.
