Ruby Diane Grilley, age 68, passed away in the early morning hours on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at the Great Falls Clinic Hospital in Great Falls, MT. Ruby was born on August 15, 1953, in Minot, ND, the third child and first daughter, to Curtis and Mary Ann Benjamin. She graduated from Minot High School in 1971. She married her first husband, Richard Crossley, and they had two children together before separating and eventually divorcing. Upon her return to Minot with her two young daughters, Ruby attended Minot State College and became a licensed Social Worker in April of 1985. She worked for several years as a Social Worker at St. Joseph's Hospital in Minot, ND, before complications with her health forced an early retirement. In 2000, Ruby married her second husband, Roger Grilley, and they were married until her passing. Together they provided a home for four of her grandchildren over the past eight years. Ruby loved being around her grandchildren. She was an avid reader, and kept busy with her many hobbies including sewing, crocheting, and needlework to name a few. She loved being outside while camping, fishing, and being at the lake or river. Ruby is survived by her husband, Roger Grilley; daughters, Marjorie Crossley of Brentwood, TN, Tracy Rayford of Norman, OK; grandchildren, Heidi Crossley of Great Falls, MT, Kaitlynn Crossley of Cheney, WA, Kasey Benjamin of Columbia Falls, MT, Nicholas Benjamin, Eathen Dobmeyer, and Rebecca Smith all Great Falls, MT; great-grandchildren, Rosaleigh Crossley, Piper Jennings, and Audrey Jennings all of Cheney, WA; and numerous friends that were considered family. No services have been scheduled at this time. The family will plan a celebration of Ruby's life next summer.
