Roy E. Meek

Roy E. Meek, 83, of Great Falls, passed away on December 20, 2015.Family services will be at Highland Cemetery at a later date. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home.Roy was born on November 16, 1932 to George and Ethel Meek in Great Falls, Montana. He attended local schools. After high school, he enlisted in the US Navy and served for four years during the Korean conflict as a Damage Controlman 3rd Class. He returned to Great Falls and worked in many local body shops before getting a job at Malmstrom in Civil Service, retiring in 1995.He married Judy Kennedy on October 14, 1957. They were married for 54 years.Roy enjoyed fishing and camping with his family.He is survived by his sons, Jay (Debbie) Buck and Ron (Sharon) Meek both of Great Falls; brother Allen Meek of Big Fork; grandchildren NaRae (Adam) Ferguson, Roy (Emmily) Buck, Lacey (Archie) LaFurge, and Jillian (Joey) Meek all of Great Falls; four great-grandchildren AJ LaFurge, Jackson LaFurge, Paisley Ray, and Gabriel Ferguson; one more great-grandchild on the way; sisters-in-law Barbara Meek and Marie (Ed) Berti; and numerous nieces and nephews.Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Judy; his parents; and brothers.
