Rosena "Rosie" Harriet Ogle

Rosena Ogle, 95, passed peacefully on March 24, 2018 at her residence in Haymarket, Virginia. Rosie was born January 1, 1923 in Choteau, Montana. . She was the 7th child, and last surviving sibling of 8 in the Burch family who are all now deceased. She lived in Great Falls, Montana her entire adult life, and only moved away five years ago, with her husband John P., to live with her son, John J. and his wife Sharon, in Haymarket, VA, where he remains and is thriving at age 96. She is survived by her husband, John P. Ogle; daughters Janet and Gerry; son John J.; grandson Christopher; and great-grandson Thomas. Rosie lived an active life in which she, along with her husband, enjoyed weekly ballroom dancing at the Elks Club and the Eagles. They challenged other couples to golf competitions at the “Muni”, faithfully visited their friends at the nursing home for a few hands of cards and escorted widows to weekly mass at the University of Great Falls. Rosie gathered regularly with her high school sewing club girlfriends up until she left to live in Virginia. She was the adored wife of John P. for 72 years of marriage. Life won’t be the same without her. Viewing will be Friday, March 30th, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Schnider Funeral Home, following which she will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Lawn Mausoleum. Services were held Tuesday, March 27, 2018 in Virginia with her family there.
