Rosebud "Rose" Clara Putnam

Rosebud Clara Putnam (Rose), 90, of Great Falls passed away on Saturday November 10, 2018 at Peace Hospice in Great Falls. A memorial service will be held Friday, December 7 at 2:00 pm at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. A celebration of life will be held immediately following at Schnider Funeral Home. Rose was born Rosebud Clara Kohles on December 12, 1927 in Sweet Grass, Montana. Rose attended grade school in Great Falls and Black Eagle. She attended high school in Great Falls, MT. Rose married William James Putnam. They were together for nearly 68 years when Bill died at the age of 87 in 2015. Together they raised five children. Rose was a beloved mother and grandmother. She devoted her life to raising her children and creating a warm, loving home. Rose was also a talented artist. She worked in several mediums including oil and water color, but her favorite was china painting. She also loved sewing and crafts of all kinds. Rose is survived by, daughter Sherry Putnam, daughter Carrie Dusko (John), son William Putnam Jr. of Burbank CA, son Robin Putnam, daughter in law Patricia Putnam, brother in law Roy Yong and sister in law Maxine Kohles. She is also survived by six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild that has not yet been born. Rose was preceded in death by her parents William and Yvonne Kohles, brother Everette Kohles, sister Lorene Weeks, sister Charlotte Wahl, brother Clarence Kohles, brother Virgil Kohles, sister Esther Murphy, sister Betty Kelly and son Boyd Putnam.
