Ronald Frank Royland, 69, passed away October 31, 2017 surrounded by loved ones at the Grandview Cottage where they took great care of him in his last days. A social gathering will be Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Schnider Funeral Home Reception Room. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Ronny was born November 4, 1947 to the proud parents of Olaf and Faye Royland in Rolla, North Dakota. Ron was part of the first graduating class of CMR High School. Then he went into the Navy. After returning home, he worked at numerous jobs throughout his life including Eddy’s Bakery until they closed, as well as, several janitorial jobs including Columbus Hospital and Herberger’s to name few. Ronny met Judy when they were young teenagers. They became high school sweethearts and then married on July 5, 1966. He loved spending quality time with family and friends, making fond memories throughout his life. He enjoyed fishing and sitting down by the river with a cold beer. He liked camping and driving around the beautiful state of Montana. He loved watching cooking shows and had fun making his yummy French bread pizza with the kids. He had dreams of winning the lottery, but he never did. We won with having him in our lives. He was a quiet man with a heart of gold and a North Dakota sense of humor. Husband, Dad, Grandpa, and Brother you will be dearly missed. Ronny is survived by his wife, Judy; sister Linda (Jerry) Finney; brother John “Ole” Royland; daughters Ronda (Ray) Guza and Julie Anne (Tony) Robertazza; grandchildren Racheal (Eli) Goddard, Eric ”Joe” Guza, Brianna, Emily and Ryder Robertazza; twin great-grandsons Kent and August Goddard; many loved sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Olaf and Faye; dearly loved aunts; uncles; mother and father-in-law, Naomi and Kenny McFarlan; and nephew Jamie Kitterman.
