Ronald Imlay

Ron Imlay passed away from liver disease on June 12, 2013, in Great Falls, at the age of 56. His memorial service is Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Ron was born on May 14, 1957 in Great Falls to Don and Evelyn Imlay. He graduated from CMR High School in 1975 and went on to join the Army. He earned a business associate degree and worked at N.E.W. and then retired as a veteran.Ron was a loving father and grandfather. He was a gun enthusiast who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and mountain road trips. Ron Chub Imlay was happiest when in the company of family and friends in the park next to his home playing horseshoes, sitting around the campfire, and enjoying good food and drink.Ron was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Kevin Oly Imlay.He is survived by his daughter, Darcey Harmon; grandsons Kale and Ethan; sister Conni McDowell; brother Jon Imlay; nephew David Imlay, who was like a son, and Davids wife, Jen, who was like a second daughter; also nephews Jesse, Matt, Kaleb, Justin, and Hunter; nieces Tonya, Roberta, and Tesla; daughters mother and good friend, Kelly Luraas; and close friend, Dave McGurran.A note from Rons daughter: Even though you and I were set apart by miles, we were close at heart. You once said your greatest accomplishment in life was bringing me into this world. I will miss your warm hugs and long conversations. I long for the day when we will no longer be separated by distance, so save me a spot Daddy, and Ill see you when I get there. Your Baby .
