Rolland Joseph Rapley

Rolland Joseph Rapley, 68, of Great Falls, passed away on Monday, Sept. 11, 2023. The Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 2, 2023, at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Schnider Funeral Home.

Rolland was born in Choteau, MT on April 8, 1955. He worked as an auto body repairman for Odegard’s Body Shop for 30 years until he retired in 2018. He loved pleasing people with his beautiful art of bodywork and painting vehicles. He had a love for tinkering on everything mechanical, fishing, camping, his GTO, and riding motorcycles. He had a life long devotion to ketchup and salt. He would do whatever he could for his family, even if it was squeezing his feet into pink prom shoes to stretch them out for his daughter. He was known as a teacher with a world of knowledge, selfless with his time and always full of laughs. If he saw you working on a project it was minutes before he was next to you helping.

Rolland was preceded in death by his wife Debra Rapley; parents, Roger and Sylvia Rapley; and sister, Brenda Rapley. He is survived by daughters, Nicole Wallace of Great Falls, JoAnn (John) Carroll of Atlanta, GA., Amy (Francisco) Casas of Austin, TX; and son, JN of MT; sisters, Rudy Newman of Great Falls and Charlotte Kraus of Great Falls; brother, Richard Rapley of Flagstaff, AZ; grandchildren, Nicholas and Harrison Carroll; numerous nephews; and nieces; and many many friends.
