Roger Howell

Roger Allen Howell, 84, of Great Falls, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 5, 2013, passing away of natural causes at Peace Hospice surrounded by family and friends.There will be no viewing and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Bible Church 3400 11th Ave S, Great Falls, MT. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Roger was born in Havre, Montana on April 12, 1929, one of ten children to Riley and Flossie (Carson) Howell. He served in the US Army. He then managed Carlson and Kenkels Shoes stores for 28 years.Roger was very active in Emmanuel Bible Church as a member for 35 years and loved all of his friends there. He was a Boy Scout troop leader for many years. Roger is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary; children Tracy and Brett Howell;one brother Larry Howell; two sisters, Betty Gaurtner and Opal Arcadipine; three grandchildren, Chase, Chance and Keegan Howell all of Great Falls; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his son, Corey in 1995; brother Bill; and five sisters, Mildred, Gladys, Neva, Eva, and Charlotte.Memorials are suggested by the family to Peace Hospice, 1101 26th St S, Great Falls, MT 59405 or the Rescue Mission, 326 2nd Ave S, Great Falls, MT 59403.Condolences for the family may be posted online at www.schniderfuneralhome.com.
