Roberta Ann Maki, 71, joined her heavenly family Saturday, February 4, 2017.Roberta was born in Great Falls, Montana to Stephen and Lillian Ritchie on June 11, 1945. In 1948, the family moved to Agnew, Washington where Roberta remained until her graduation from Sequim High School. Returning to Montana, Roberta worked at the Deaconess Hospital in Great Falls and on her uncle's ranch at Shonkin, Montana. She married Carl Maki June 30, 1967. During her married life she drove school bus, and was a United States postal contractor for the Loma and Star Route out of Carter for over 20 years.Roberta was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aeries 14 Auxiliary holding several offices and was serving as its Madam President, as she had several other times, when she passed. Roberta was one of the club's most dedicated volunteers, giving an uncountable amount of time and donations throughout her 22 years of service to the Aerie and her fellow members.In her spare time Roberta enjoyed her family, reading, crocheting, coloring, gambling, watching the Food Network, Pickers, Gold Rush, Wheel of Fortune on TV and listening to hymns and country music.Roberta is survived by son Carl A (Timer) Maki Jr., of Great Falls; daughter Tammie Ann Estelle (Dominique) Maki Osodo of Andover, Minnesota; granddaughters Jessica (Colton Eastman) Haldenwanger of Great Falls, Amanda Haldenwanger of Milaca, Minnesota, and Annestelle and Saraeya Osodo of Andover; sister Elizabeth (Richard) Verley of Royalton, Minnesota; sister-in-laws, Joan Ritchie of Carlsberg,Washington and Margie Ritchie, Port Angeles; cousin Jeannie (Art) Bucknam of Highwood; brother-in-law Jack (Iris) Hutchinson of Great Falls; sister-in-law Beverley Hutchinson of Great Falls; and many nieces and nephews in Minnesota, Washington and Montana.Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carl, brothers Art and George Ritchie and sister Lillian Hoover Yoder.Pallbearers include her son, Timer; nephews Walter and Mathew Ritchie; granddaughters Jessica and Amanda; son in law Dominique; and future grandson in law Colton Eastman.Graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 7 at 2 p.m. at the Riverside Cemetery in Fort Benton, Montana.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Great Falls Animal Shelter, PO Box 5021, Great Falls, MT, 59403-5021 .http://gfas.givemodo.com/
