Robert “Bob” William Lazure, 82, of Great Falls, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019. Per his request, no services are being held. A private family burial of ashes will take place at a later date at Blue Mound Cemetery in Dawn, Missouri. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home. Robert was born on January 25, 1936 in Great Falls, Montana to Elmer V. and Sophie (Kolski) Lazure. He attended McKinley Elementary School, Paris Gibson Junior High, and Great Falls High School before graduating from Belt High School in 1954. He joined the Montana Air National Guard at the age of 17 and retired in 1989 as a Chief Master Sergeant, after 36 years of service to his country. He volunteered at the Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks after retirement. Bob met June Maberry and they were married on April 5, 1956 at Montclair Methodist Church in Belt, Montana. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. Robert is survived by his wife, June; sons Terry and Bennet; daughter-in-law Marie all of Great Falls; sisters Carley Boule of Seeley Lake and Bonnie Merriman of Great Falls.
