Robert Bob R. Aline, 77, of Great Falls, a retired city employee, passed away peacefully from lung cancer, with family by his side on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Peace Hospice.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Bob was born on October 2, 1936 in Tracy, Montana to Henry and Anna Aline. He graduated from Centerville High School in 1955. He joined the Air National Guard in 1960. Bob worked for the Smelter until it shut down, then he worked for the City of Great Falls until his retirement in 1998.Bob met Thresia Teri Platis in 1973, and she became his partner and one true love for the next 41 years.Bob is survived by his wife, Teri; daughter Tracy (Mike) Howard; stepsons Steve (Jacquie) Haefer and Tom Amdahl; grandsons Perry Haefer, Cameron Howard and Sterling Amdahl; granddaughter Sabrina Fenton; sister Betty (Ted) Funyak; brother Andy (Bill) Aline; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Henry, Joe, Tom, and Walt Aline; and sisters Gertie Pancich, Josephine Burkland and Janice Olson.
