Richard "Rick" Verbael

Our beloved son and brother, Richard Rick Verbael, 51, died in his sleep due to natural causes on July 22, 2015. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home. A graveside burial service will be held at the cemetery in Dutton at 1:00 PM, Friday, July 31, with a private celebration of his life to follow at the home of his parents, Russ and Stella Verbael, in Great Falls.Rick was born at Ft Belvoir Army Base, Virginia on Feb 29, 1964 and attended various schools during his early years as his parents followed a career in the US Marine Corps. He graduated high school in Tustin, California in 1983 and later earned an associate degree in Computer Technology from College Of Great Falls in 1996. Rick worked as a computer programmer at Data Northwest in Great Falls for over 15 years and which ended recently due to deteriorating health issues.Rick had been a member of several California rock and roll bands from his high school days until his 30's. His passion for the exhilaration, excitement, adventure and challenge of practicing and then performing live on stage with his music group never left him, even later in life as he pursued a career with computers.He is survived by his parents, Russ and Stella Verbael of Great Falls, brother Mark Verbael of Cut Bank, sister Cindy (Clark) LeDoux of Ft Worth, Texas and preceded in death by an older brother, Keith Verbael in 1990. He is also survived by a number of aunts and uncles, including favorites: Karen Toeckes and Marci Kremer of Dutton and a long time caring, sharing next door neighbor, Cassie Linghor. Rick never married and lived alone in Sun Prarie, Montana,
