Richard Lawrence Mauseth

Richard Lawrence Mauseth, 81, of Great Falls, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Schnider Funeral Home. Visitation will also be Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. also at Trinity Lutheran. Burial will follow at Manchester Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Richard was born June 8, 1937, in Choteau, MT to Oliver and Emily Mauseth. He graduated from Choteau High School in 1957 and married Melba Morano on May 3, 1958 and they had 10 children. Richard worked for the City of Great Falls for 35 years. He enjoyed gardening and yard work and prided himself on having the greenest lawn on the corner of 9th St and 4th Ave NW. He also liked to make hook rugs and afghans. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a member of the Teamsters Union. Richard is survived by his children, Karen (Karl) Schuman, Kalispell, MT, Terry (Ted) Hagen, Castle Rock, CO, Lonnie (Leann) Mauseth, Great Falls, MT, Ric (Gayla) Mauseth, Great Falls, MT, Debbie (Chris Dittus) Pengilly, Great Falls, MT, Tammy (Rick) Becker, Great Falls, MT and Darcie (Mark) Wiltse, Sandy Valley, NV; 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Melba (Morano) Mauseth; parents Oliver and Emily Mauseth; daughter Janice; sons Greg and Brian; brothers, Walter, Arthur, Orville, Melvin and William; and sister Mildred. Memorial donations can be made in Richard’s name to Trinity Lutheran Church or American Diabetes Association.
