Richard Spencer LaVerdure, 64, of Great Falls, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2020. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home, and per his request, no services are being planned. He was a caring man who would give the shirt off his back in time of need. He was an excellent waiter and great hairdresser, working most of his life, retiring only after being diagnosed with cancer. He fought 12 years with metastatic kidney cancer, never once giving up or complaining. Richard was gifted with so many talents: decorating, gardening, cooking, and raising poodles. He could take a dump and make it a beautiful home. His yard was always in full bloom and flowers flourished because of his love. He took special interest in his family and loved all his nieces and nephews. Richard was our mother’s care giver the last few years of her life, which took a lot of patience, and he did a wonderful job. He is survived by his partner, of 25 years, Dennis Cannoy; sister, Lenarda Hilton, and brother, Cloyd LaVerdure. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dolores Nanini and Morris LaVerdure; and many aunts and uncles. Richard entered Peace Hospice and quickly faded into the arms of angels, and went Home. We will miss you, but know you are no longer in pain. A special thanks to Sletten Cancer, all the staff and doctors, to Hospice, and to all the great nurses.
