Richard Alan Barwick

Heaven gained another angel on November 30, 2022. Richard Alan Barwick “Rick,” 72, of Great Falls, MT was born on August 25, 1950, to Richard and Bernadette Barwick in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and destined to be a dedicated lifelong “Cheesehead” fan. In his early years, Rick owned his own gas station in Wisconsin and later decided to enlist in the Air Force. After transferring to Great Falls, Montana he met the love of his life, Bobbi, they were together for 38 years. Young with life, Rick enjoyed coaching the Air Force Basketball team while stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota. He had many talents, baseball, semi-pro golf, and semi-pro bowling to name a few. He moved the family to North Pole, Alaska, where he retired as Master Sergeant of the Air Force. Trading his sports attire for hunting and fishing gear, Rick was always ready to go!  Rick helped back his wife Bobbi by opening a daycare center called Klondike Kids. It was around that time that Rick found his meaning of life, to be a grandfather. He moved his family one last time back to Great Falls, where he loved coaching his grandson, Austin, and his soccer team and being a cubmaster. Woodworking with his father’s tools was a favorite pastime of his as well.

Rick leaves behind his wife, Barbara Barwick; sisters, Teri Barwick, Chris Barwick, and Michele Adler; brother, Randy Barwick; children, Geralyn Bonini, Karen Warner, Vance Canoy, Christian Barwick, and Sara Canoy; much-loved grandchildren, Zachary Lampert, Colton Lampert, Gabby Ludwig, Austin Canoy, Natalie Ludwig, Sean Canoy, Dylan Canoy, Savannah Canoy, Maisey Stugart, Evan Hubbard, Nicholas Warner, Sara Warner, Vinny Barwick, and Luca Barwick; as well as nine great-grandchildren. Husband, father, grandpa, brother, and friend, Rick will be missed by all. Not all superheroes wear capes.

A social gathering will be held in the spring. Memorials in his name are suggested to go to an organization or charity of the donor’s choice. Condolences may be shared online with the family at www.SchniderFuneralHome.com .
