Rhonda Bentz Rangel, 60, of Great Falls, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 due to an aggressive blood bacterial infection. Rhonda was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 7, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Schnider Funeral Home. The funeral liturgy will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with burial to follow at Highland Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Rhonda was born in Sheridan, Wyoming August 25, 1955 to Mary Anne and Robert Bentz. The family moved to Great Falls when Rhonda was in middle school. She later graduated from CMR High School in 1973. She married the love of her life, Ben Rangel, on October 2, 1982. Together they had two daughters, McKenzie and Morgan. Beginning her career as front desk receptionist for Flynn Insurance Agency, she quickly moved through the ranks. She was instrumental in starting the claims department and implementing its automation systems. In addition to becoming the Vice President of Operations, Rhonda was the first female shareholder of Flynn Insurance Agency. On July 1, 2010, after 35 years of service, Rhonda retired and started traveling extensively with the love of her life, Ben. Rhonda enjoyed reading bible passages each morning and spending time with family. She also loved going on walks, coloring with her sweetheart, Juniper, and laughing with her many friends. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed gardening. Rhonda was a devoted member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, serving on its Liturgy Committee and actively participated with her daughters school activities. She was a member of the Early Risers, a womans ministry group that raises funds for local organizations. Rhonda considered the Peak Health Center her second home and enjoyed going to all their activities. Rhonda is survived by her husband, Ben Rangel of Great Falls; mother Mary Anne (John) Kahler of Great Falls; brother Scott (Inge) Bentz of Littleton, CO; daughters McKenzie (Joey) Caldwell and Morgan (Matt) Hausauer both of Bozeman; and granddaughter Juniper Caldwell of Bozeman. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Bentz.
