Rev. Leonard J. Shatkus

Rev. Leonard J. Shatkus Rev. Leonard J. Shatkus passed away at Peace Hospice in Great Falls, Montana on September 29, 2018. Leonard who was the son of the late Leonard and Getrude (Wynne) Shatkus was born in Scranton, PA on January 10, 1955. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gail (Knaus) Shatkus in 2017. Leonard was raised in Inkerman and graduated from Pittston Area High School, Wilkes University and the University of Toronto. His ministries took him to Brazil, Canada, Virginia, Florida, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Montana. Leonard is survived by his brother, John (wife, Karen) of Santa Clarita, CA, nieces Jill Williams (husband, Dwayne) of Neenach, CA and Wynne Campbell (husband, Ryan)of Torrance, CA, nephew Patrick Shatkus(fiancée, Liz Masucci) of Philadelphia, PA, grand-nephew, Leonard Patrick “LP” Campbell, cousins from the Wynne and Shatkus families and childhood friends from his beloved Inkerman. A memorial service will be held on October 27, 2018at 1:30 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church in Great Falls, MT with final resting in Highland Cemetery in Great Falls. Arrangements are being handled by Schnider Family Funeral Home in Great Falls.
