Reneé Marlene Gruner (Goodman), 57, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on January 25, 2019, after a hard battle with cancer. Family viewing services will be Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Schnider Funeral Home, 1510 13th St S, followed by family receiving friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. A celebration of life will start at 5:00 p.m. also at Schnider Funeral Home. Cremation will take place following the service. Reneé was born on June 4, 1961. She graduated from Belt High School in 1979. She married her husband Carl H. Gruner Jr. on July 16, 1995 in Las Vegas and they had two children together. She was very inquisitive and knowledgeable. Her first love was being on her horse as a child. Renee’ also had an extraordinary green thumb, with the ability to coax the most reluctant plant into bloom. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, Harley’s, Classic muscle cars, the Denver Broncos and her dogs. Reneé loved being with family and special friends. She felt most comfortable among close family and kept strong ties to her mother, children and cousins. Renee’ had been active and independent up until the time of her illness, still taking care of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Opal Goodman; father-in-law Carl Gruner Sr. and mother-in-law Lynn Gruner; brothers Jerry Goodman and John Walters; and her daughter in-law Brittany Roberts. Reneé is survived by her husband, Carl Gruner of Great Falls; children Michael Ferda, Jessica Goodman-Gruner, and Thomas Gruner all of Great Falls; her children’s partners, KC Cox, Adelia Rosales and Jakob Pierson; step-daughter Ashley Gruner of Florida; sister Debbie Ogden (Bud) of Fairbanks, AK, two brothers, Jason Komiotis-Hartzell (Travis) of Olympia, WA and Pablo Komiotis of San Fransico, CA; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
