Raymond “Ray” Owen Hill, 81, of Raynesford, Montana, passed away on January 19, 2019. There will be a vigil service on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. and a funeral liturgy on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Both will be held at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Belt. He was born November 15, 1937 to Anna Duncan Hill and Felix Hill of Geyser, Montana. As a young man he was happiest when calf roping and riding. He was a lifelong rancher and was proud of his presidency in the Montana Gelbvieh Association. He was an avid golfer and considered his golfing partners among his best friends. He loved playing games, especially winning. Ray was especially proud to be a dedicated blood donor and gave gallons in his lifetime. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Raynesford, Montana. Ray is survived by his wife, Kathy; children, Anne Anderson, Patty Annala, Diane Hill; daughter-in-law Danni Hill; Kathy’s children Lance Uhrich, Dawn Hoefer, Rietta Malsom, and April McLean; his children and step-children’s spouses; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; his former spouse, Arlene Thomas; and his siblings, Jean Anderson and Oscar Hill. Ray was preceded in death by his parents; son, Larry; siblings John, Teresa Tower, and Peggy Stenzel. In lieu of flowers, send donations to the Raynesford Community Center, Raynesford, Montana 59469.
