Raymond "Ray" Franz

Raymond J. Franz, age 51, passed away on March 1, 2017, peacefully in his sleep with his beloved wife by his side.Visitation will be at Schnider Funeral Home on Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. His funeral service will be held at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the service.Raymond was born in Great Falls, Montana to Darell and Gloria Franz on November 21, 1965 where he was raised and he graduated from CMR High School in 1984. He then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1985. He married Sharon (Ferguson) Franz, the love of his life, on May 16, 1992. They remained in Las Vegas, Nevada where Ray worked for Ford Motor Company until 2004. He and Sharon then moved back to Great Falls where Raymond worked at Franz Automotive Machine until he passed.Raymond enjoyed snowmobiling, his annual trip to Cooke City, 4-wheeling, dirt biking, snowboarding, archery, hunting and fishing.He is survived by his wife Sharon (Ferguson) Franz; his mother Gloria Franz; and his sisters Rheann Crowley of Spokane, WA and Rheshell (Shannon) McCaleb of Fort Worth, TX.Raymond was preceded in death by his father Darell E. Franz.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to Peace Hospice, P. O. Box 7008, Great Falls, MT 59406-7008.
