Raymond Bud Bielen, 89, Great Falls passed away at a local care facility.The Funeral Liturgy will be at 1 pm, Saturday, May 30, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Private burial of ashes will be at Valley View Cemetery, Shelby, MTRaymond Bud Bielen was born November 4, 1925 at Sweet Grass, MT, the son of Charles and Lilly Bielen. Bud received his education in Sweet Grass graduating from Sweet Grass High School. He worked for the railroad before being employed with Hatch Chevrolet in Shelby. Bud began his career with J.C. Penneys in Shelby, moving then to Coeur dAlene, Idaho, Anchorage Alaska, Blue Springs, Missouri and moving to Great Falls in 1973. After over 30 years, Bud retired as the manager of the shoe department in Great Falls.Bud was united in marriage to Elizabeth Bessie McAlpine on November 30, 1945 in Shelby, MT. Bessie passed away October 19, 2008. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking with his wife, but his most cherished times were spent with his wife and daughters.Survivors include daughters Barbara Averill (Dennis), International Falls, MN, Shirley Kindsvatter (Rick), Great Falls, two brothers, Harold (Char), Colville, WA, Ronnie (Janet) Ft. Benton, MT, a grandson Jason Kindsvatter.He was preceded in death by a brother Robert Bielen and a sister Iris Wing.Memorials to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 409 13th St. So, or Peace Hospice, 1101 26th St. So, are suggested.
