Ramona Warehime

On March 10, 2016, the Lord lovingly took Ramona Catherine (Proper) Warehime, 87, into hisarms.A vigil service will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Stanford. The funeral liturgy will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church as well. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Ramona was born in her Grandmother Todds home on May 31, 1928 in Geyser, Montana toCatherine (Todd) and Frank Proper. She went to elementary school in Geyser and SquareButte, attended high school at the Ursuline Academy in Great Falls, and received her teachingdegree from what is now the University of Great Falls. She taught elementary school for 2years in Square Butte.On June 2, 1949, she married Harold Warehime at St. Margarets Catholic Church. They had three children, Ted (Kathy) Warehime of Minot, ND, Sherry (Clay) Berger of Glasgow, and Roxanne (Larry) Berg of Judith Gap, and spent 66 wonderful years together. Their life began in a little trailer in Pendroy, Montana, while Harold worked construction. After leaving construction, they went to work at the ODay ranch where Ramona cooked and Harold farmed. Three years later Ramona and Harold moved to the Sullivan (Strand) ranch, where they spent 22 years farming and ranching, in Square Butte. In 1978, they purchased the Sundown Inn Supper Club and retired in 1988.Ramona enjoyed golfing, dancing, and spending time with her friends and family. She was active in the church, as she was the president of the Altar Society at St. Margarets Catholic Church. Ramona also served as the Vice President of Fort Benton Ladies Golf Association. She loved nothing more than being with her family.Ramona was preceded in death by her mother; father; step-father; Harold Golladay; half-sisterMadeline (Proper) Daniels, and half-brother Ray Gardner.She is survived by her loving husband; two half-sisters, Florence (Proper) Whitfield of Stanford and Nadine (Proper) Peterson of Minneapolis, MN; her children, six grandchildren, Mark (Berger), Amanda (Jason) Warehime Isaak, Debra (Tyler Mills) Berger, Alex (Matt) Warehime Kosanda, Trent Berg, and Trevor (Brittany) Berg, four great-grandchildren, Logan Isaak, Ellie Kosanda, Brodie Isaak, and Emmy Kosanda; and many caring friends.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her honor to the Stanford Ambulance Service, Stanford, MT 59479 or Peace Hospice, 1101 25th St S, Great Falls, MT 59405.
