Ralph Nanini, 81, of Sun Prairie, passed away at home with his family by his side on Tuesday, October 27, 2015.Visitation will take place Saturday, October 31, 2015 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Schnider Funeral Home. The vigil service will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. with viewing one hour prior at St. Margarets Catholic Church in Cut Bank. The funeral mass will be held on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Margarets Catholic Church.Ralph was born in Cut Bank, Montana on September 17, 1934 to Frank and Erma Marie (Luchi) Marone.Ralph as a little child was happy and into everything. He worked at Cut Bank Meat & Cold Storage and detailed cars at Moreen Murphy Motors during his teenage years in Cut Bank. Ralph graduated from Cut Bank High School. He then went to work for the Great Northern Railroad driving transfer truck, and later began working as a brakeman retiring with 40 years of service.Ralph served several years on the Cut Bank City Council as Ward Two Alderman and Council President.In 1960, he married his first wife Anita Waggoner and they had four children together; Brenda Nanini of Shelby, Pam (Scott Bye) Lane of Cut Bank, Rhonda (Tim) Devlin of Washington and Brian Nanini of Thailand. They later divorced.In the late 1970s, Ralph met Dolores Mortensen and they married in Couer dAlene, ID. In 1980, Ralph was still employed with the railroad and he also ran the Big Sky Caf in Cut Bank with Dolores.In 1990, Ralph and Dolores moved to Great Falls and he retired from the Railroad and began driving school bus for Hall Transit and Big Sky Bus lines for 14 years.Due to health, he retired fully in 2013. Ralph and Dolores shared two families for 35 years. Dolores children, Cloyd LaVerdure, Richard LaVerdure, Lenarda (Nick) Jung, all of Great Falls.Ralph was a wonderful man, hard worker and had lots of love and smiles to go around. He was loved by all and will be missed by many.He is survived by his loving wife, Dolores; brother Sam (Harriet), sister Bonnie (Lee) Manicke; all of the children; numerous nieces and nephews; grandchildren Leonard (Crystal) Hilton, Jesse (Savanah) Hilton, Catherine (Justin) Garret, Travis Devlin, Daphne Devlin, Sidney Lane and Desiree Urdahl; great-grandchildren, Tieghan, Nicholas, and Connor Hilton; Shayla, Saydee, Jayce and Allen Hilton; Spencer, Wyatt, and Amelia Garret.Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Fred, Bill and Joe; sister Mary.Rest in peace my dear one, I will meet you soon as our song says, There wouldnt be a thing I would change about you.
