Peggy Jo Olson

Peggy Jo Olson, 61, of Great Falls, passed away after fighting a long battle with COPD at Benefis Hospital on Monday, February 20, 2017 surrounded by her family.Visisation will be Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Schnider Funeral Home. The vigil service will be on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. with viewing one hour prior starting at 5:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. The funeral liturgy will be Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Peggy was born Saturday, September 13, 1955 to Jim and Joyce Matuska in Great Falls, Montana. She was the middle child. She had an older sister, Robin and baby sister, Kathleen came along five years later.She married her loving husband, Steven Oly Olson on March 13, 1988. While he was serving in the US Air Force, Peggy brought two children and Oly brought four children to their marriage.Peggy was always laughing and quick with a comeback. She always saw the good in people and had such a bright smile.She is survived by her husband, Oly; her DOG daughter, Sadie Jo; son Andy Mora of Santa Cruz, CA; daughter Ashly (Zach) Wentzel of San Antonio, TX; her bonus children, Tennille Olson of Fargo, ND, Serena Olson, Joey Olson, and Crystal (Melissa) Nesdahl, all of Grand Forks, ND; ten grandchildren; one great-grandson; sisters Robin (Phil) Watz of Great Falls, MT, Kathleen (Rich) Adams of Winstow, AZ, and Marcia Griffin of St. Peters, MO.Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; and loving aunts and uncles.Peggys family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses at Benefis Hospital for taking such great care of our Peg.
