Paul Anthony Clark, 61, of Geraldine/Helena, passed away peacefully and pain-free on December 24, 2022, with his loving family by his side.
Paul was born a whopper at 11 lb. 1 oz. on May 31, 1961, to Jim and Dorothy (Harvey) Clark in Great Falls. He attended Geraldine School where he graduated in 1979, and then attended the Helena COT. He spent over 40 years in the elevator business; first at the Equity Co-op in Geraldine and then as the “grain guy” in Kershaw at the CHS Big Sky location. He loved his job and the people he worked with.
Paul met the love of his life, Brenda Heramb, in 1980, in Geraldine, where Brenda landed her first teaching job. They married in Conrad on December 30, 1982.
Paul was an avid sports guy--from high school sports to officiating basketball to softball and bowling leagues, golf league, cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys and MSU Bobcats, and attending NFL games and NASCAR races. Dad spent many miles on the road to watch Mike play football for the Battlin’ Bears, to watch Kelsee throw for the MSU-Billings track team, and years of tailgating and high-fives with Brooke at Bobcat football games. Whether it was with family or guys at the bar, there were countless card games to be had. He was so proud of his granddaughter, Crimson, and would light up and forget about his pain when she came to visit.
Perhaps the greatest time of all for him was the time spent on family vacations; summers at Canyon Ferry and Holter Lake, the Oregon Coast, cross-country RV trips and tropical business trips with mom, Christmas vacations to Hawaii, Cozumel, and Florida and many more. While we may have been robbed of many years left with our dad and husband, we have precious memories that can never be forgotten. Forever we will be the Clark 5.
Paul is survived by his wife, Brenda Clark of almost 40 years; son, Michael Clark of Helena; daughters, Kelsee (DJ) Clark of Butte and Brooke Clark of Helena; granddaughter, Crimson Godfrey; the boys, Tucker and Trigger; mother, Dorothy Clark of Fort Benton; brothers, Donnie Clark of Geraldine and Bruce (Eileen) Clark of Great Falls; sister, Bonnie Jacobsen of Nampa, ID; and numerous other family members. Paul was preceded in death by his father, J.W. Clark; brother, Jimmy Clark; both sets of grandparents, James and Francis Clark and George and Helen Harvey; and father-in-law, Don Heramb.
A celebration of life will be held later this spring in Geraldine.
