Patricia M. (Thompson) Vanover, 74, of Great Falls, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2017 at Peace Hospice.A graveside service was held in her honor on September 11, 2017 at Highland Cemetery at 6:00 p.m. A release of balloons took place simultaneously by her family and friends in 5 states, Michigan, Montana, Nebraska, California, and Texas. A celebration of life was held by her daughters in their family home.Patricia was born on May 23, 1943 in Detroit, MI and she was raised in Royal Oak, MI. She graduated from high school, married the love of her life and decided motherhood was her lifes desire. She had five wonderful children. She later returned to school to study cosmetology. She had a stroke at age 37 and therefore her career in beauty was cut much earlier than expected. She then focused all her time on her beloved husband and family.She enjoyed sewing, knitting, quilting, cooking, and camping, but mostly spending time with her family and extended family.Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kelly Howard Vanover Sr.; father George C. Thompson; mother Lenora M. (Johnson) Thompson; stepmother Ruth Thompson; brother Roy Rikko; and grandson Nathan Kelly Quinalty.She is survived by two sons, Richard C. Vanover and Kelly H. Vanover Jr.; three daughters, Patricia A. McCullough, Luanne Vanover Spragg and Tressa M. Quinalty; sister Amy C. Deford; 20 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.Patricia will be greatly missed.
