Patricia "Pat" Johnson

Patricia Pat Anne Johnson, 75, of Great Falls, MT passed away December 1st, 2016 of natural causes.A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Congregational UCC Church, 2900 9th Ave S. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Pat was born August 19th, 1941 in Indianapolis, IN to Mildred and Ralph Taylor. In 1947, the family moved to Billings, MT where Pat spent most of her childhood. Pat attended the University of Montana and graduated from Eastern Montana College in Billings in 1963 with a degree in Education.She moved to Great Falls in 1963 and married Del Johnson on June 7, 1964. Together they had two sons, Mark and Dirk. She taught school at both Sunnyside Elementary and Valley View Elementary from 1963 until retiring in 1998. She was proud to have so many students and their parents as friends throughout her life.Pat was active in First Congregational UCC, PTA, life member of the NEA, member of the GFEA and MEA, and many other volunteer organizations. Grandma Js family and grandchildren were the most important things in her life. Some of Pats favorite pastimes were cooking for anyone who needed it, playing any kind of card game, playing machines at the casino, following her grandkids in all their sports and going to lunch with friends and family. She was a person who loved with her entire heart and soul and is leaving behind a legacy of genuine kindness and compassion. We will miss you every day Grandma J.Pat is survived by her husband, Del Johnson of Great Falls; her son and daughter-in-law Dirk and Tamra Johnson and grandchildren Jordan and Cooper Johnson all of Great Falls; son and daughter-in-law Mark and Julie Johnson and grandchildren Spencer and McKenna Johnson all of Kalispell; as well as many wonderful friends.She was preceded in death by both parents and her brothers, Steve and Teddy.
