Pastor Jim Anderson, 76, of Great Falls, passed away at a care facility in Lewistown, MT.A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2015 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.James Anderson was born April 12, 1938 in Dyersburg, TN, the son of George and Mamie Willow Anderson. Jim had been recruited by the St. Louis Cardinals when he was young, but had enlisted in the United States Air Force when he was 17.He married Louel Johnson on June 23, 1957 in Boise, ID. He was blessed with two daughters, Annette, his elder favorite daughter born in 1961 and his younger favorite daughter Melinda born in 1966.The family moved to Minneapolis, where they all attended Bethany Missionary Fellowship. Jim pastored in various places from Alaska to Minnesota and finally retired in Great Falls. Jim had worked as a funeral assistant for Schnider Funeral Home for many years. He enjoyed going to the Great Falls Dodgers games.He is survived by wife Louel; two daughters, Annette (Tom) Ostlie, Melinda Anderson and her partner, Rosanna Watras; four grandchildren, Tim Ostlie, Dori Bokusky, Sharla and Kiana Chandler; a great grandson, Myles Bokusky; sister-in-law Shirley Anderson; niece Felicia Anderson and nephew Glenn Anderson.He was preceded by his parents George and Mamie Wilo Anderson, a brother, Jesse Paul Anderson and nephew Eddie Anderson.
