Orillia Marie (Rose) Balko, 92, of Great Falls, a retired retail clerk died of natural causes on Tuesday November 20, 2012 at a local hospital.Visitation will be at Schnider Funeral Home Friday, November 23, 2012, from noon to 5:30 p.m.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel with burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Orillia was born on November 4, 1920 to Joseph and Rose (Lacoursierre) Rose in Great Falls where she attended school, graduating from Great Falls High. On July 29, 1939, she married John Red Balko. She worked at Montgomery Wards for 12 years before going to work for Duvalls for several years. She then chose to stay home and raise her two sons.Orillia enjoyed fishing, crocheting and embroidery and she was lifelong member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.Orillia is survived by a son, Michael Mick Balko of Great Falls, Montana; three granddaughter, Michelle Timmins, Erin Rivera, and Tara Balko; and three great-grandchildren, Michael John Timmins, Jon Alexander Balko, and Riley Lawrence Balko.Preceding her in death was her husband John Red Balko, a son Russell Balko and daughter-in-law Carla Balko; and numerous sisters and brothers.
